Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week
Salary: $90,962.92 to $97,875.15 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence is seeking an Employer Connections Coach to build strong partnerships with employers and create inclusive pathways into education and employment located at our Fitzroy offices.
Working within our Thrive Hub, you will connect participants to real job opportunities that align with their strengths, talents and aspirations. You will collaborate with employers, industry and training providers to co design recruitment and induction pathways that support sustainable employment outcomes.
What you will do
- Build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners
- Source and develop inclusive employment and training opportunities
- Champion participant strengths using an Advantaged Thinking approach
- Connect people to jobs, work experience, training and networks
- Work closely with coaches and managers to support participant success

What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the mission of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, community development and employment services are highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in employment services, social work, community development, or relevant industry.

Demonstrated ability to apply professional employment knowledge and problem-solve in complex and dynamic stakeholder environments.

Proven relationship building skills to generate and influence with a strong capability to create opportunities with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple sectors, from corporate through to not for profit, employment & education, and community
- Demonstrated understanding of diverse groups including people of refugee, migrant and asylum seeking backgrounds, people with a disability, mature aged job seekers, young people and parents with young children seeking work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to produce accurate reports, briefs and materials

A commitment to maintaining and supporting child safety, equity, inclusion, and cultural safety

Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence
