HIPPY Site Advisor- First Nations Network- Designated

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week
Salary: $104,063.34 to $108774.43 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation. (pro-rata for part-time employment)

About the role
The HIPPY Site Advisor is responsible for managing the partnerships between HIPPY Australia and HIPPY providers. Working with multiple HIPPY sites, the Site Advisor will have regular contact with sites including travel to sites to deliver training to all staff, along with quality and development support to ensure delivery of a high-quality program. The HIPPY Site Advisor will also contribute to developing innovation and undertaking projects in order to assist HIPPY Australia to achieve high quality service development and sustainable goals.
This role will support transformation initiatives that embed cultural governance and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) in line with Closing the Gap Priority Reforms.
Core Responsibilities
- Cultural Governance & Community Engagement
Work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and partners to ensure HIPPY implementation is culturally safe, responsive, and aligned with local protocols.
- Partnership Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with HIPPY providers and community organisations, fostering trust, collaboration, and shared learning across the network.
- Program Quality & Workforce Support
Lead onboarding, training, and professional development for HIPPY Coordinators and Tutors, and support workforce development initiatives within First Nations communities.
- Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor sub-licence agreements, budgets, and risk management plans to ensure compliance with HIPPY standards and quality frameworks.
- Continuous Improvement & Evaluation
Contribute to program reviews, evaluation projects, and quality audits to maintain program fidelity and drive ongoing improvement.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in Early Childhood, Community Development, Human Services and relevant disciplines such as Social Sciences and Education

Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and ACCOs, with a strong commitment to self-determination and cultural safety.\

Proven ability to lead and deliver complex programs, including understanding of Closing the Gap reforms, workforce development, compliance, risk and data-informed improvement

Highly developed leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, navigate change and ensure safe, inclusive outcomes for children and families.

This role requires regular travel and attendance at multiple work locations as part of operational and stakeholder engagement responsibilities.
