Retail Assistant
At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Retail Assistant to join our dedicated team Social Enterprise team.
Location: Kilsyth
Job Type: Maximum Term for 6 months, Part-Time working 22.8 hours per week
Salary: $54,315.35 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation. (pro-rata for part-time employment)

About the role
To generate funds in support of BSL Programs through recycling donations, and the participation of volunteers in a safe and welcoming environment. Also support all retail operations as directed by store manager.

- Professional customer service, sales and merchandising;
- Ensure customer requests are met in a professional and timely manner;
- Ensure the store and back of house areas are clean and tidy at all times;
- Ensure donations are sorted according to the Social Enterprises retail standards;
- Assist with the display, sale and stock control of product including furniture, whitegoods and clothing

Previous retail experience in recycled goods is preferred but not essential

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment to achieve objectives.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and work with volunteers, staff and people from diverse backgrounds.

Professional manner and high customer service focus.
