Location: Nobel Park Office
Salary: 55,669.16 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation. (pro-rata for part-time employment)

About the role
The Donations/Sorting Assistant is primarily responsible for the initial sorting and separating of incoming donated goods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- work collaboratively within teams to achieve common goals
- demonstrate a commitment to the Brotherhood’s quality framework and culture by participating in and promoting quality actions through continual improvement activities
- sort and separate incoming goods including removal of rubbish and hard goods, distinguishing between qualities and types of garments and separate clothing and goods into categories
- sort and separate incoming donations/goods in accordance with the relevant guidelines/standards
- pack inventory stock appropriately

- At the direction of the Store Manager, this role may also be required to undertake general shop duties.
- the incumbent may be directed to carry out such duties as are within the level of the position and scope of the incumbent’s competence and training as directed by the manager.

What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the mission of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- experience in safely operating back-of-house material handling equipment eg pallet jack, walkie stacker
- previous experience in the sorting of recycled goods and how that activity can effectively support the retail operation would be highly regarded
- ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment
- specific work requirements include weekend work, public holidays, work based travel, and attendance at a variety of different work locations
- rosters involving weekend work will be required
- proof of eligibility to work in Australia is required
- a satisfactory Police Check is required. The Brotherhood will facilitate this process
