At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Team Leader - Thrive Hub to join our dedicated team.

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week
Salary: $104,063.34 - $108,774.43 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
The Team Leader supports the day-to-day operations of the Thrive Hub and contributes to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong community engagement. As part of the leadership team, the role works closely with the Demonstration Manager to help deliver programs that enable participants to access education, training, and employment pathways. The position provides guidance and support to staff, volunteers, and students as part of a shared leadership approach. A key focus is building and maintaining relationships with community partners to strengthen referral pathways and create opportunities for participants.

Work collaboratively within teams to achieve common goals and contribute towards continual improvement initiatives
- Assist in the day-to-day activities and services within the Thrive Hub under the direction of the Demonstration Manager, ensuring consistency with BSL’s model, funding agreements, and service standards

Develop and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, employers, schools, and other external partners to create referral pathways, raise awareness of the Thrive Hubs, and identify opportunities for collaboration

Keep current with local labour market and community trends through active engagement and partnerships across industry, business, and community networks

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, community development, youth work and/or education, or extensive relevant experience

Experience working in a values-driven, outcomes-focused environment that prioritises meaningful and sustainable progress for individuals and communities

Successful experience and achievement in team leadership including supervision of direct service staff, performance management, learning and development, and change management

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to liaise and build relationships with a broad range of people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and contribute positively to team goals
