People Operations Team Leader
At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate HR Operations leader to join our dedicated People and Culture team.
Location: Fitzroy
Job Type: 12-month Fixed-term Full-Time (parental leave backfill)
Salary: $105,000 to $110,000 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

About the role:
As the P&C Operations Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless HR service delivery across the employee lifecycle, including overseeing recruitment administration, contract generation, employment condition changes, compliance tracking, reporting, and providing frontline policy and procedural advice to employees and leaders across the organisation.
You’ll lead a small team of HR professionals, working closely with senior leaders to drive efficiencies, support organisational objectives, and deliver a consistent and engaging employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of HR operations staff to deliver efficient, compliant, and people-focused services.
- Oversee people operations, compliance, reporting, and our HR systems, ensuring data accuracy to support strategic and data-driven decision making.
- Lead and collaborate on HR projects, increasing efficiencies and the effectiveness of BSL's processes and procedures.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide strategic HR operational insights and recommendations.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.

- Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
